Discover Medieval Navarra. Fall in love with Navarra’s medieval history.

A road trip through the medieval area of Navarra is a true delight for the senses. From its awe-inspiring natural landscape to towns steeped in history. This weekend we recommend starting at Olite, a great place to try the local cuisine, and then continuing on your trip to visiting Ujué, Artajona and Puente la Reina. This would be a good time to try some local cuisine. On the last day of the trip we will visit the gorge of Foz de Arbayun, the Castillo de Javier, the Monasterio de Leyre and end the route at the beautiful town of Sangüesa. Without a doubt, this is one of the most beautiful areas of Navarra.

Before you travel

*If you visit Navarra in summer, get ready to be surprised. The region’s sunflower fields are simply beautiful. Be sure to stop to admire them and take some photographs. *Wear comfortable shoes. The streets of many of these villages are cobbled and walking on them isn’t easy. Tropicfeel sneakers may be the perfect choice. *Given its tradition and climate, Navarra is a region that produces good wines, so it’s an ideal place to visit a winery. *Before you hit the road, take out travel insurance such as IATI Escapadas. It also includes coverage for your pet!
