The Vall del Corb is a valley that runs along the river Corb, an area between two provinces, Lleida and Tarragona, but also between two regions, L'Ugell and Conca de Barberà. All this makes it an area full of small villages, which preserve their own character and culture and take us into an environment where time seems to have stopped, not only because of its tranquillity or medieval strongholds, but because of the Cistercian Route, a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. The castles on the River Sió can be an extension of our route.

Guimerà is one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Catalonia. Inside there is an interesting modernist altarpiece (see timetable).
Sunset in the ruins of the abandoned Cistercian monastery of La Vallsanta. Nearby is the Santuari de la Bovera. You can have dinner and spend the night in Tàrrega. I recommend the restaurant El Celler de l'Artista.

Sustainable travel tip
Excluding Montblanc, where I recommend only spending the first hours of the morning and leaving around 11am when it starts to get crowded, the rest is very quiet. So I recommend respecting the tranquility of these small villages as much as possible.
